To God be the glory, GREAT things HE hath done. Christie is coming HOME. I would like to thank everyone that has been following this blog and Christie's progress over the past 3 years. If you have learned anything from this blog I wish it to be that GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS. I have learned that it is in his time though and not mine.God is in the miracle making business as he has proven not only from the Bible but from Christie's life as well. I hope every one knows that they can look to God for help when it seems there is no hope left.

I will not be posting anything else on this blog once Christie comes home. I expect and hope that she will be home by next weekend. If you would like to stay in contact with me after this blog stops, feel free to email me. samuraiet@yahoo.com put Christie's name in the subject bar and I will reply as best I can.

Nothing but Time

I hate waiting. I talked to Christie and she still begs to come home. She said " Please come get me". I would love nothing more. Christie asks me where Xander is. She talked to Xander on the phone. They had a great time talking. Christie doesn't understand why Xander is here and she isn't. Hopefully the judge will let her come home soon, she has waited long enough. Christie is still asking about her Joy Bear. I hope to get that back to her soon as well. She has had it her whole life and then they take it from her. Christie continues to tell me she is " sad and lonely." I know she is but if we can just hang on til July!!!!!

UPDATE

There is going to be a status meeting May 6 Th between all attorneys and the Judge. Pray that he says Christie can come home and there will be no more court dates.

Court

Court was from 9 AM this morning to 5:22 Pm. A decision still hasn't been made. The judge needs some more reports from all 3 attorneys. They have til next Thursday then the judge has 30 days to make a decision on whether Christie is competent to decide if she is able to say where she wants to live and her social environment.

Spring is here

I had a great day with Christie. We went out front of FCC and had a picnic.Christie got to choose what she wanted to eat as she doesn't get to eat anything except nursing home food. She choose KFC. We had the chicken, mashed potatoes, slaw, macaroni and cheese and biscuits. I have never seen someone enjoy a biscuit with gravy on it as much as Christie did today. It was great. I can't wait to see her tomorrow.Court is Thursday. Please continue to Pray.

Update

Thank you everyone for your emails and concerns over what is happening. As you know we where to go to court on March 4th. To see if Christie would be able to have any of her rights reinstated.Then on the 17th and 18th we where to have the case that would tell if Christie would remain in nursing homes for the remainder of her life or to come home. As it turned out the doctor that was going to evaluate Christie was unable to meet with Christie until the 4th. As a result the court for the 4th was canceled and rescheduled for the 17th. At this time I haven't gotten a new date for the hearing that was to be held on the 17th.

Christie seems to be doing well. I hear she is showing her humorous side that I have known she has always had. I do know she goes on field trips with her class on Thursdays. They go to parks and to Wal Mart. I don't know how she is doing grade wise as I haven't received any report cards or progress reports this year from Richard and the school per Richard's request can't share any of that with me.

Christie continues to tell me how much she misses Joy Bear and asks me do I have her. She says she is lonely and sad and that she misses Joy Bear. There are other things she tells me but as this update is getting lengthy I will stop here. Please continue to Pray for the up coming court dates.

4TH Man Walking

I'm sorry Christie is a lone, but she really isn't.God loves her more than I do and he is there for her.He knows his children and they know there Father God, God is her Heavenly Father and he is with her just as he was with the Hebrew children in the fiery furnace and the 4Th Man walked out with them.Just as he will with Christie .

I can't wait for the home coming. Xander talks everyday about his Sissy and the things he wants to do with her. Xander got 4 horses unpainted for Christmas. He opened them and said oh no these are sissy's she loves horses. We got him to understand they where his, so he painted them all and had a wonderful time. Now I've been told they are still Sissy's horses and Xander plans on giving them to her when she gets home. I can not wait until my family is made whole again and I can get the Children that love each other back together where they belong.

A beautiful little teenage girl
lying in a hospital bed.
Only fifteen years into her life.
It's a MIRACLE she's not dead.
She was so vibrant, like a ray of sun.
But now she's in a coma
before her life has even begun.
She loves horses and feeding birds.
Rescuing turtles,
and jumping hurdles.
She loves to laugh and really loves to run.
Christie is so full of life
and her life is filled with fun.
Now we're praying for a Miracle
that only God can do.

The part of her brain that they removed,

A TRUE MIRACLE

After Christie's Left Temporal lobectomy we thought she would die. She remained in a coma for months. She remained on life support and a trach for a while longer. Everyone seemed to give up on her but God and me. The surgeons thought she would remain in a vegetative state for the remainder of her days. I'm very happy to say that everyone was wrong. As you can see in the pictures on this page Christie has surpassed everyones expectations. It wouldn't be right not to give God the Glory and Praise for things he hath done and if it where not but by God's Grace and Love Christie wouldn't be here today.If you do not know God as your personal savior I invite you to get to know him. He sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for you and for me. Please read John 3:16. "For God so loved the world that He gave HIs only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The best thing that a person can do in these times is to accept Him. He has not let me down in my life, and He won't let you down either.
