Paula and Aaron's Visit

Saturday Paula and Aaron went to visit Christie, She was sitting up in her chair when they got there. She was "watching" Cartoons on TV. Christie moved her head and her right arm. She would shake her head yes or no for questions that they asked her. She would even push the button if some of the answers were yes. Paula asked her if she wanted her to pinch Aaron for her, but Christie shook her head "no". Paula then asked if Christie wanted to pinch Aaron, and then Christie smiled and shook her head "yes". Aaron put his finger between her thumb and index finger, and she pinched him. There is a picture below. Paula went to the bathroom, and when she came out she saw Christie smiling as if she was up to something. Aaron was nowhere to be seen. Aaron jumped out from behind the door and scared Paula, so I guess that was what Christie was up to. She was an accomplice! They enjoyed the rest of their visit. I would like to thank Paula and Aaron for going to visit Christie, as she doesn't have many visitors, except for her daddy. He visits her daily.
Shortly after Paula and Aaron left, they removed Christie's catheter out, and she did very well with it. It didn't seem to be too uncomfortable for her, and I bet she's very glad that it's out. One more small step.

Aaron and I had a ball Saturday. As far as them scaring me, they acted together. Christie was smiling as big as I have ever seen her smile. I know that Aaron told her what he was going to do. Look forward to seeing her again soon!

I, as an observer, would like to make a comment on the statement about Christie not having many visitors. I know for a fact that her Aunt and Uncle (Angie & Philip) visit her every time they go to visit Richard. When her Grandma Madge and Grandpa Dave come in every 2 weeks to visit, they visit Richard and Christie. Christie even has friends that visit her such as Paula and Aaron, Gabriella, Ann, and Little Philip. Christie lights up the room whenever her friends and/or family show up for a visit. Christie is improving every day. Thank God for FINR and the staff for all their hard work and dedication.

If you are so close to the source, I wish you had left your name. I know Christie's grandparents visit her religiously when they are there.Philip and Philip Jr. they don't seem to go that often as far as Angie, if she goes, she doesn't comment on Christie. on Richard and Christie's blog as a matter of fact it has been 7 days since Angie has spoken of Christie on her blog as far as visiting. The last time she went that she spoke of was with her friend Rene and Philip last Tuesday.
The reason I thanked Paula and Aaron for going to visit is because when I call daily the nurses say the only visitor she has had is her Dad. Along with that and no comments on the blog that is all I have to go by.
The comment wasn't meant to be a derogatory or negative comment, but thanking the ones who I know have gone and got to see Christie in person and thought to either call and let me talk to Christie and to send me current pictures.I give credit where credit is due, I even put on Christie picture., compliments of Grandpa Dave. I don't mind signing my name, I have nothing to hide.

MOTHERS

This is a truly BEAUTIFUL piece. Please Read this at a slow pace, digesting every word and in Leisure...do not hurry... This is a treasure...
>For those lucky to still be blessed with your Mom,This is beautiful. For those of us who aren't, this is Even more beautiful. For those who are moms, you'll love this.
>The young mother set her foot on the path of life. 'Is This the long way?' she asked. And the guide said:'Yes, and the way is hard. And you will be old before you reach the end of it... But The end will be better than the beginning.'
But the young mother was happy, and she would not Believe that anything could be better than these years. So she Played with her children, and gathered flowers for Them along the way, and bathed them in the clear streams; and The sun shone on them, and the young Mother cried,'Nothing will ever be lovelier than this.'
>Then the night came, and the storm, and the path was Dark, and the children shook with fear and cold, and the mother Drew them close and covered them with her mantle, and the children said, 'Mother, we are not afraid, for you are near, and no harm can come.'
>And the morning came, and there was a hill ahead, and The children climbed and grew weary, and the mother was weary. But at all times she said to the children,' A little patience and we are there.'So the children climbed, and when they reached the top They said, 'Mother, we would not have done it without you.'
>And the mother, when she lay down at night looked up At the stars and said, 'This is a better day than the last, for my Children have learned fortitude in the face of hardness.Yesterday I gave them courage. Today, I've given them strength.'
>And the next day came strange clouds which darkened The earth, clouds of war and hate and evil, and the children groped And stumbled, and the mother said: 'Look up. Lift your eyes to the light. ' And the children looked and saw above the clouds An everlasting glory, and it guided them beyond the Darkness. And that night the Mother said, 'This is the best day of all, for I have shown my children God.'
>And the days went on, and the weeks and the months and The years, and the mother grew old and she was little and bent. But her children were tall and strong, and walked with Courage. And when the way was rough, they lifted her, For she was as light as a feather; and at last they came to a hill,And beyond they could see a shining road and golden gates flung wide. And Mother said, 'I have reached the end of my journey. And now I know the end Is better than the beginning, for my children can Walk alone, and their children after them.'
>And the children said, 'You will always walk with us, Mother, even when you have gone through the gates.'And they stood and watched her as she went on alone, and the gates Closed after her. And they said: 'We cannot see her But she is with us still. A Mother like ours is more than a memory. She Is a living presence.......'
>Your Mother is always with you... She's the whisper Of the leaves as you walk down the street; she's the smell of bleach In your freshly laundered socks; she's the cool hand On your brow when you're not well. Your Mother lives Inside your laughter. And she's crystallized in every tear drop. She's the place you came from, your first home; and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love And your first heartbreak, and nothing on earth can Separate you.Not time, not space... Not even death!
>I LOVE YOU MY BABY GIRL
